U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS (January 29, 2025) – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or the “Authority”) announces an updated deadline for the 2025 Alva C. McFarlane Scholarship. High school and college students now have until February 28, 2025, to submit their applications for this opportunity to advance their education in engineering and STEM fields.
The Alva C. McFarlane Scholarship offers significant financial support to students pursuing careers in these critical areas:
- Bachelor's Degrees: Up to $80,000 in funding
- Associate's/Technical Degrees: Up to $30,000 in funding
This scholarship honors the legacy of Alva C. McFarlane and aims to inspire the next generation of innovators who will shape the future of clean energy, technology, and infrastructure.
