U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS (March 19, 2026) – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (“WAPA” or “the Authority”) invites all electricians across the territory to participate in its upcoming “Electrician’s Meet”, designed to provide networking opportunities, updates on Authority policies, and technical guidance on working safely with electrical systems.
The event will be held in both districts:
- St. Thomas/St. John: Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM at WAPA’s Four Winds Facility (Previously Ashley’s Furniture)
- St. Croix: Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM at UVI’s Research and Technology Park
Hosted by WAPA’s Transmission & Distribution and Customer Service departments, the meeting will include presentations on underground and overground electrical requirements, policy updates, and safety procedures. The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) will also present, reinforcing the collaborative effort between agencies to educate engineers and electricians serving customers across the territory.
The Authority looks forward to sharing valuable information with the electrician community, providing an opportunity to learn, connect, and stay current with industry standards across the Virgin Islands.
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority Communication’s department is committed to reaching, informing, and connecting with the youngest members of the community to the eldest, through meaningful, transparent and effective communication.
